Intermediate Lake, in Antrim County, is one of the main lakes in the Elk River Chain of Lakes, located North of Elk Lake, Lake Skegemog, Torch Lake, Clam Lake, Lake Bellaire, and South of Beals Lake, Scotts Lake, Six Mile Lake, St. Clair Lake, Ellsworth Lake, Wilson Lake, and Benway Lake.
The village of Central Lake is located on the northern shore of Intermediate Lake and provides necessities visitors seek such as shopping, lodging, and restaurants. Several campgrounds around Intermediate Lake provide facilities for RV and tent campers. With seasonal events like art festivals and craft fairs, Central Lake keeps visitors happy with fun activities year-round.
Intermediate Lake provides one of the best rock and smallmouth bass fisheries in Michigan. Also commonly caught are walleye, perch, northern pike, and black crappie with a chance of wily muskellunge.
This is a beautiful lake for boating or jetskiing.
